Our Awards

The Pro Bono Society is always honoured to receive recognition and support for the work that we do. We are most proud of our community and everyone involved to make things like this possible! We are extremely thankful for the nominations and awards we have received over the years which would not have been possible without our wonderful volunteers, committee members, university staff and sponsors! As always, we strive to bring people together to make real differences in our community and we recognise the value of each and every contribution in order to make this possible.

A huge thank you on behalf of the Pro Bono Society!

LawCareers.Net Student Law Society Awards
2021

The Student Law Society Awards received submissions from 38 student law societies alongside 2,700 votes from their members. The nominated societies represent those who strive for excellence in the opportunities they afford their members.

There are really clear posts advertising all events and initiatives available for members. I also like the videos the society posts on Instagram Stories, plus the useful resources for mental health services they share as well. Given the different nature of university this year, I don’t feel I’ve lost any opportunities due to such good communications”.

University of Manchester Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020

Many members of the University community, including students, staff and alumni are volunteers either here in Manchester, or elsewhere nationally or internationally.  As a University, we want to take time every year to thank these volunteers for the skills, commitment and tens of thousands of volunteers hours given. One of the ways we do this is through our annual Volunteer of the Year Awards, which are given in four categories.
